And even if you do not care about morality: This "game" is rather an interactive movie. A normally boring, at times annoying and frustrating "puzzle" design. Avoid.… Expand

Yes, there is horror in the game: the controls! Several times, you do not have a clue what button you have to press, in what direction you have to go etc. And worse: The camera sometimes changes, so you are inevitably completely lost. And in these parts you are normally under heavy time pressure, so you die and die and die and have to start the whole sequence from the beginning again and again and again...
Horribly frustrating, yes. Next time, please give the player a chance to beat these sequences!… Expand
Average User Score: 8.5Sep 30, 2014No, it is not what made the "Tomb Raider" series great. It is not the very good TR1, let alone the amazing TR2. The character in TR2013 justNo, it is not what made the "Tomb Raider" series great. It is not the very good TR1, let alone the amazing TR2. The character in TR2013 just has the name Lara Croft. Names sell.
But TR2013 is a good game in itself. The graphics are still outstanding, despite being already a year old. The skin, the movement and the landscape sometimes come relatively close to the Final Fantasy movie.
Basically, you explore, run, jump, kill. There are some quicktime events, too, but not too much and not insanely difficult. With autosave and mostly fair design, the game normally is not frustrating but doable. The gameplay is not completely linear. Sure, you normally go from area to area, but in the area itself you sometimes have to find your way, especially when you have to use your equipment (hook, arrows etc.). In TR2, the huge areals where pretty demanding (and satisfying). TR2013 is a lot easier now, but it is fun nevertheless.
At the end of the day, the mix works.… Expand

Now, autumn of 2014, i7-2700 (3,4GHz Quad), 16 GB RAM, Geforce 970 (Maxwell 2), Win8.1-64, SSD: The game does not stutter anymore. Maybe unless you use the X-Box-controller, that is.
Now, you can see GTA4 in its full glory. And it is bad. Graphics? Dated. Well, they were already dated when the game was released in 2008, but hardly anybody noticed that, as nearly everybody was just overwhelmed by the sheer size of the city. Music? No, just awful noise. Dialogues? Do you consider F-words and S-words a bearable dialogue? In that case you do not have a problem with the game. You do have a problem with your life. Missions? Try to navigate a horrible car through a horrible mess of horrible AI and kill someone. Repeat.
The good news is: The triggers in the game can be broken, so you cannot start the next mission. What about other savegames? It is GfWL - no escape here. The game essentially gives you a "Game over" for free. Thus the game has a useful message after all: Go and play something else.… Expand
