While I must admit the graphics are pretty awesome, the controls are pretty decent, and it obviously sounded good enough to buy and try out there are DEFINITE problems. It starts out really nicely. It has good creep factor and as you go thorough out the story it actually has really good development! Sadly, although you can decide who lives and who dies the main premise is only differed slightly and incrementally (unlike Heavy Rain). That said, while this game boasts about how your choices greatly influence the outcome of the story.... they don't. Your influence is very minimal and Emily ALWAYS lives regardless and the mysterious stranger can't be saved--he must die EVERY time. There are also character traits that also change with your choices. You can boost or hurt relationships with other characters, become braver or less, honest or not....but regardless, it makes absolutely no difference in how they act towards one another which sucks and is kind of too bad. The only thing that changes ending wise is who lives and who dies...only to some extent. There aren't really DIFFERENT endings per-say (like in silent hill) just more like... a few options as to who is there when it ends.
The story, however, was actually pretty good--at least the first part of it. Once it went on with wendigos though it just died. It went from being a really cool murder mystery with a potential real killer (which seemed to be the case since it set out to be realistic and not anything to do with fantasy game) to just garbage. In every version of the story, there will be wendigos (AKA Magical Cannibals) and that, for me, is a big game ruiner. They made me absolutely not care about the rest of the game or what happened to anyone. Especially when the characters decided it was a good idea NOT to stay still (which is how you avoid them) and instead go to the mines (their nest) at night (while they're awake) and run around. SMART! NOT! It would have been SO much better if there had actually been a real psycho killer up on the mountain--not magical cannibals.… Expand

Repetitive and a little glitchy with either being too sensitive or not sensitive enough. There are some objectives and upgrades to get, things to collect and aim for (coins, power ups etc) but no real incentive to keep playing. However, to be fair, it is a very unique and nice looking, nice sounding still fairly fun infinite runner game with a well delivered idea and feel as you mad-dash for the free world outside of the temple. It has a dynamic camera as it swoops low when you skid underneath a tree and bends tightly as you go around the corners but like I mentioned earlier, there are some sensitivity problems so you will still have times where the game doesn't respond to your commands and therefore you either do something you didn't mean to or you don't do something you wanted to do which really does get irritating (usually how I die).which is mostly why I can't give it a higher score. Aside from that it's fun though just maybe not in long doses....… Expand

Challenging but easy to walk away from so it's great to play when you're bored or if you're like me, before you go to sleep to get your mind off things. It gets harder the more levels you do and of course you can always increase the number of squares in the board to make it harder as well. It's free and comes with a LOT of puzzles and it gives you a taste of the sequel "Flow Free Bridges" with one of the packs. Overall, nice...… Expand

Each challenge (get X amount of points) rewards you by unlocking a new character on your main screen (train station platform) with the goal of getting all of the people you try to save. In addition to being amusing and having a lot of variety, the music is pretty catchy too (I recommend watching the video). Pretty fun to play, does not require internet connection.… Expand

Although I don't see the point of buying the little figures, spending actual money, or buying this on an actual system, for a casual game on my ipad it's alright.
It does what you want it to do.... kill time, develop and expand your land, earn gems to buy more characters, plant crops to get the magic potions you need to do certain things (activate stuff, go on adventures, etc). It's sort of mind numbing but it's better than doing nothing and there are plenty of worse things.
However, if you were looking for a Spyro game and haven't heard by now, don't be fooled... it's a trap. It's sad to see what happened to him and Cynder...… Expand
Average User Score: 7.5Aug 30, 2014This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Casual gaming at its finest. It takes strategy to kill the world's population not only with how you infect people but with where you start (that's a big one as it can make the whole game harder or easier) and when to start the symptoms or how to slow down the cure. You're in a strategic race against the inhabitants as you essentially get to play god. It's interesting and even sort of weirdly fun and satisfying as you get new genes discovered, figure out combos, and indeed kill the world....… Expand

It got decent reviews and honestly I don't know why they aren't higher if only by a little. I understand, it IS a platformer and it uses the dumbest remote/controller of all time but the graphics are good, the storyline though simple is cute, and the music is pretty upbeat. The levels are challenging it's fun for killing time.
Would I take it over a Zelda title? Probably not because I'm a Zelda nerd... (unless it's spirit tracks, god awful abomination of the series) but it's still a pretty decent Wii title especially if you have young children around.
I would however recommend motion plus (not sure if it's required for it but it should be) because the controls are a little finicky and that improves it a bit. It would also be great if Ivy would stop running constantly as that causes more problems in the game although perhaps to add to the challenge of an otherwise simple platformer with a simple story and simple goals to reach as you progress.
It's a quick play and it's a nice game but it can quickly become frustrating as well which is why I can only give it an 8. If Ivy didn't run constantly and if you didn't have to use the stupid wii-mote (versus making the classic controller available or something) pointing at the stupid screen, it would have gotten at least a 9. There isn't much to complain about anyways and again, it'd be a great choice for a child to play...… Expand

Unlike many RPGs that have come out in recent years this one is challenging.... comparable to final fantasy 1 challenging. Everything was hand drawn which was nice as you travel through the 2.5 D world. The music is wonderful and the story is fairly simple as it's told. Granted, it is a little slow to get told due to the challenges you have to do (finding particular things) which does take a good while but it's still fun and the goals as a whole are still clear as you travel, level up, and get more team members to work with.
The complaints I have are few and minor. First off, you can only have 2 party members out in a fight (which makes things fairly difficult). Secondly, the main character (Aurora) in battle is pretty much useless and thirdly, there's this "interrupting" **** that can happen as you cast your attack and it makes you wait to cast again. That's it really.... Enjoy~… Expand

The idea looked interesting and the story, when presented, sounded wonderful and like something I'd definitely want to play and would be interested in. So, just to be sure, I got the demo and I'm glad I did.
Despite how wonderful the game sounded the camera movement was disorienting and confusing, not intuitive at all and the actual character movement was just as bad. I will grant it the graphics were decent (nothing compared to Journey as everyone says, I'd much rather look and listen to Journey) but the music was completely forgettable and what can be remembered is only how bad it was.
To be perfectly honest, the game play is slow and gets boring rather quickly. There is only so much ink you can splatter around before you're just bored and things get sort of frustrating because if you don't splatter it with ink you can't see it... and that's just sort of lame. BUT that's the whole game it seems... there are worse games because this is at least bearable but it's still just.... boring.... really boring...… Expand

However, although I love Mario Kart (despite the fact I can't drive for garbage) I do have some problems with it that are minor but they are annoyances. For example, the computers get TONS of "POW"s, blue shells, and are surprisingly accurate with green shells. Their AI is annoying especially when racing on teams because they still push each other and the human player ends up dragging the rest of the computer team. Banana peels and boxes are not nearly as effective as they used to be and there's this new lightning cloud thing that should not be there at all as it's not helpful for the player, it's just devastating...
Still, these are all minor things. Most of the tracks are good. The controls are good, music is what I expect in a Mario Kart... it's all there and it's still fun. I'd just recommend trying to get more human players so there are less stupid computers at least when you play team racing. Good game, lots of fun.… Expand
