For a retail game, it felt incomplete. A HUGE flaw in the game is that you can't go back and complete everything in the game once you already passed certain parts. There are actually quests/missions you can't do once you beat the story mode. What game does that?!
I could write paragraphs on the cons and pros... but just know this. The game is probably worth about $10 (relative to the amount of content). But it is worth more just because it is a fun game. It is hard to put value on the amount of content in video games. I mean Rainbow Moon was $15 and has well over 100 hours of gameplay and content. Meanwhile, Uncharted is $60 and has about 10 hours of content.… Expand

Average User Score: 5.7Apr 16, 2014I never played the Xbox or PC version, so I can't compare what they fixed with the PS3 version.
So basically we were told that this gameI never played the Xbox or PC version, so I can't compare what they fixed with the PS3 version.
So basically we were told that this game was delayed so long for PS3 because it was being 'polished'. All the bugs and glitches were being fixed. That has to be a lie. Like I said, I can't compare.... so maybe they did fix a few things, but this game is buggy and glitchy.
The truth is, they probably waited until the TMNT movie trailer was released so it would boost sales for the video game. (yes, I know the two aren't related story wise)
The camera angles in the game make it unplayable sometimes. The camera angle will glitch into the ground so you can't see what you're doing (in the middle of a fight). At one point the same cutscene kept playing over and over (DURING a fight), I had to restart my game. Even when the camera is working the way it's suppose to, it isn't very good.
I feel like they got lazy with the cutscenes (comic book style). But that's just my opinion, some people might like it. (you can check them out on youtube to see what I mean)
As far as the 'good' goes...... the fighting is pretty fun. There are a lot of combos and a good amount of upgrades for the Turtles. Arcade mode is fun too.
Definitely NOT Batman Arkham Asylum fighting style (like a lot of people were thinking it looked like when it was revealed last year).
As far as scoring it based on being $15.... compared to other games on the pan which are $15, I would say this game falls in the middle. There are some AMAZING $15 games.... but then there are obviously some horrid.
Honestly, this game probably deserves more of a 5/10.... but I give it a 4/10 being of the poor job of fixing the bugs and glitches... or they just lied to us..... .either way, it loses 1 point because of it.… Expand

In GodA huge step up from God of War 3. Ascension brings us back to the good old days of God of War. No more over talkative preachy Kratos. In God of War 3 there were too many characters with too many lines... which made for some really bad voice acting and cringe worthy/corny lines. In ascension, you feel like you're playing a real God of War game. If you're somebody who doesn't care about story/atmosphere/voice acting/music..... and the only thing you care about is gameplay, then this game is just like all the other god of war games. The gameplay is the same (of course)... but everything else is a great improvement from God of War 3. God of War 1 is still my favorite in the series, but Ascension has definitely moved into 2nd place. And yes, I have played all the gow game (including both PSP games). I actually have not played that mobile gow game though.… Expand

Don't pay any attention to Puckman's review... this game is not like LBP at all (both this game and LBP are amazing though).
The quick time events are not lazy. Play Kingdom Hearts 2... that game has lazy quick time (the only button you push is Triangle). This game mixes it up and brings a different element of gameplay to the game.....See what I mean about Puckman? He doesn't know what he's talking about.....
further proof he doesn't know what he is talking about......
He mentions how the game gives the wrong head when you need it..... that's because you need to FIND the head first before the game gives it you (you'll know what I mean if you play the game). Puckman never understood that concept... that is why he is confused.
The writing, jokes, and voice acting are very well done. Game play it great, hardly ever missed a jump or attack... and if I did, it was my fault, not the games fault.
The level designs are unique and fun. There is one type of level design (in several levels) I didn't care for... but I must admit it brought variety to the game and a great element of fun, and I know other people probably love it.
Very rarely does a game prompt me to leave a review on metacritic.... I've left 9 reviews (before this).... usually I have to hate a game or love it. I have a couple of yellow reviews I think. Anyway, my point is I've played well over 200 video games and Puppeteer was so good that I just had to leave a review for it.
If you watch the trailers, and think you'll like it... then you'll love it. I had really big hopes for this game...and I was worried I was over hyping it for myself. I did that with GTA V Online... I over hyped that and it was a disappointment..... well Puppeteer lived up to my expectations..... it's that good.… Expand

Decided to download it when it came out Tuesday for free and give it a second chance (this time playing it online with my girlfriend). We both tried very hard and gave this game a fair chance to impress..... it is junk. I guess this isn't really much of a review as much as it is just an honest score. I actually did quite well too, I had many more kills than deaths and my team won most of the matches I played. No wonder the game is FREE... you get what you pay for.. or don't pay for.… Expand

There are littleREAL REVIEW from someone who has played every single game since The Show came out in 2006. Same as every other year. There are little improvements here and there, but nothing major. They added ONE new main feature (The Show Live) which isn't fun or interesting at all. This game is becoming like Madden. All they do is add tiny little features each year and you hear the word "Improvement" A LOT. Go ahead and read/watch some dev. interviews, you'll see/hear the word "Improved" a lot. They "improved" this and they "improved" that. Instead, they should be innovating (which this game does NOT do). You'll notice too that (just like Madden) they don't come out with more than just ONE new main feature each year. This year's main feature is The Show Live. Last year's main feature was Diamond Dynasty, see the pattern? They do have a "new" beginners mode. I put quotes around the word "new" because it's just another feature that they "improved" really. Also just take a look at Badasz's review... notice anything about it?? I'll take some quotes from his review if you don't feel like reading it.... "The game has a lot of improvement's from the last version".."Graphics and game play are the same"..."RTTS mode, its more realistic than ever" (another example of "improving" something)....Then he talks about the commentary and not hearing them while you play... umm... every single other The Show since 2006 allowed you to turn off commentary (which I always did)... so nothing new there. He talks about playoff atmosphere, just another little tiny improvement, I've always felt the atmosphere was great during playoff games in past The Show games. Manager mode, just "improved". They do this so that they have more to add into their game next year. They don't add other features ON PURPOSE....which I kind of understand, they are here to make money, not please their fans.... and we're the ones who suffer for it. They ad just the minimum amount of new features and improvements to fool players like Badasz into thinking it's a completely new game. Whatever happened to Create Your Own Stadium, Classic HOF players (Ruth, Mays, Paige).... I know they need legal rights to their names, but they've done it in the past, they can do it again.... what ever happened to players wearing their own team jerseys in the All-star game (like in real life), how about adding Fantasy Baseball in the game (like how you have fantasy baseball on yahoo or mlb .c o m. Where the HECK is The World Baseball classic... perfect year to have it. We've been waiting for The Show to add the WBC. I know they won't be able to use players real names, but isn't that what the Roster Vault is for?!?! Definitely wait for this game to drop to around at least $30 before buying it. With everything I said, If you loved last years game and aren't expecting/care-about huge changes and innovations and don't mind the exact same gameplay... then get this game. This game would be deserving of a 10/10 if it were the first or second baseball game to ever exist. It's a great game standing by itself, but since this game is part of a sports series, it deserves special treatment when reviewing it. Bottom line...
Nothing new. Same Gameplay. Lots of little improvements (batting stances, things like that). ONE new main feature (The Show Live).... that's it … Expand

It's a fun little game with EXTREMELY little combat options (although the combat is still a bit entertaining). No upgrades in the game, you can unlock new costumes but sometimes it's pointless and you'll find yourself using costumes from earlier in the game more than you would use the "better" costumes you find later in the game because, well, some of the later costumes aren't better. Play the demo, and there it is... the demo is exactly the maximum gameplay in this game. The only point in buying the game would be to continue the story mode and unlock new locations (not that you can explore the locations very much). I would say if you're really in the Halloween mood (which I was when I bought and played this) than this game is probably worth about $10.… Expand
