The tracks are fun and interesting , and it's nice to see avatars put to good use . All the usual game modes are here , from championships to time trials . A separate stunt park mode also attempts to keep things interesting . The biggest problem of course is that this should have been a free game , a gift from Microsoft with premium DLC content . Somewhere along the line they changed their minds , giving us firstly a badly controlled Kinect version as a full retail release , and now charging 800 points for this new joypad friendly joyride. For free this would be a 9 / 10 , but at this price point - 6/ 10… Expand

The only problem I have is the game just doesn't quite measure up to Criterion's last title , Burnout Paradise - There is nowhere near as much stuff to do here , and the graphics too are just not as good . The new Autolog leaderboards however are a brilliant addition , and playing against the A.I is much less frustrating than in recent arcade racers like Blur and Split Second . Both Need For Speed and Burnout fanatics alike are going to hate all the things that are missing from there favourite racers , but those looking for a simple pick up and play, almost Chase HQ like arcade experience will find plenty to enjoy here . Solid but not spectacular .… Expand

There is plenty to like here - good graphics , awesome engine sounds ,immersive career mode with tons of options to tweak the difficulty level , simple but effective and stable online play over xbox Live .
...but the game alas has it's problems - The frame rate is unstable at times , lacking some surprising things
like commentary or split-time info while racing , some obvious bugs which really should have been addressed before release .
A good racer then but not quite up to the standard of Forza 3 or their own Dirt 2 just yet .… Expand

This is the same game that we've all played to death on PC / Mac / iPhone already , but it has to be said that playing on a giant TV in HD is something that will still bring a grin to the face - the gameplay is as sweet as ever and even if you've completed it on another platform , you'll enjoy playing through the game again . The controls really have been adapted well for the 360 gamepad , the use of the trigger buttons to 'suck' in the sunshine is an especially great touch . The big draw for some maybe the new multi player modes - while they are fun and welcome , the big news here is that they are local only - no play over xbox Live !
If you've never played PvZ before - consider this an essential purchase - 9 / 10
If you've seen it all before , then the local only multiplayer and high price of 1200 MS point will sting a little - 8/10… Expand

The only real fault is the simple and repetitive nature of the gameplay - with too heavy a focus on collecting items and flipping switches than actually blasting the nasty alien bugs ! 6/10 , or 7/10 if you managed (like me) to grab it at the sale of the week price of just 400 MS .… Expand
