The whole disco vintage vibe and theme is pretty enjoyable overall. The production is very special and insane. Still, there're several awkward moments. This album may not produce any hit single, but it's a fun journey as a whole.
Best: Too Much, No Drug Like Me, The Sound, Right Words Wrong Time, Julien
Worst: I'll Be Your Girl, Feels Right, Happy Not Knowing(Even though they're the weakest in the album, they're still listenable)… Expand

It shows that without excessive productions, simplicity can be actually really cool. The album overall is very cohesive and consistent, it gives audiences a wonderful experience when they listen to the whole album. None of these tracks can be a hit single, but some tracks do stand out. The drawback of this record for me is that some songs still sound like "demos", they could be more baked.

Vocals are great, most of the production are interesting. The only problem for me is that they release so many singles before the album release, which makes my expectations really high but disappoints me finally.

She has already found her distinct sound at the age of 17. Her voice is beautiful, the idea is cool, and the production is insane. The visuals are also very good. Although some of the tracks are not my favorite, they have the potential to grow on me. She are getting the recognition she deserves, which makes me really happy.
!!!!!!:(not gonna give a score but it's not a song. It's fun but I don't think it's necessary here. She can simply use Bad Guy as the intro)
bad guy: 10/10(the beginning is crazy, the production throughout the song is wonderful especially in the chorus. The last part is unexpected but it spices the track up. Single worthy.)

Average User Score: 8.3Feb 15, 2019I used to be a Avril fan, but tbh this album is not good enough. It does express her emotions and convey the concepts. If this was released 10I used to be a Avril fan, but tbh this album is not good enough. It does express her emotions and convey the concepts. If this was released 10 years ago, this could be a cool album. However, it seems outdated and insipid currently, especially the production. Even old songs like Complicated and Innocence are much better. She is still in her comfort zone and maintains her old style. The songwriting is generic. Some ballads are good but there are too similar ballads in the album. Her voice is powerful but unrecognizable.
Head Above Water: 7/10(powerful ballad, the content is good, but very normal, forgettable and unimpressive)
Birdie: 5/10(not annoying but generic)
I fell in love with the devil: 6/10
Tell me it's over: 6.5/10(more variations, which is good)
Dumb Blonde: 5/10(if it's released in 2000 it'd be a good single but it's too outdated now, Nicki is ok)
It was in me: 7/10(love the outro and the bridge)
Souvenir: 6.5/10(verse is really weak but the chorus is good)
Crush:8/10(only good song in the album)
Goddess:6/10(verse is super boring, chorus is slightly better)
Bigger wow: 5.5/10(lyrics are awful)

This album is different from her previous works, focusing on trap beats and sophisticated rhythms instead of colorful melodies, which is a nice try. Some melodic tracks, however, like needy, imagine and ghostin are still my favorites. Unlike Sweetener, Yours Truly and My Everything, none of these songs is a skip(Dangerous Woman is really good). The album is personal, meaningful, impressive and cohesive. Production is enjoyable most of the time. Her vocal is great as always. Lyrics are intriguing and progressing compared to her other albums. Can't wait for another album!!!

Messy, overproduced, annoying, lackluster and forgettable album. Most of the tracks are not worth listening. It seems like she produced songs aimlessly, and a lot of tracks in one song are unnecessary. The songwriting, however, is too simple. Her voice is also mediocre. Neither she managed to make an successful transition album, nor she even made any memorable single.
