A very great show. Interesting storylines, interesting characters, great acting, story just a very good show. It takes a lot of attention to get every detail but the show is still very great. Kind of like a TV version of Lord of the Rings.… Full Review »
I have to admit I am a student of the history of Bletchley Park and the code breakers and have visited the facility recently. I initially thought the series was about BP and its role during WWII but it is much more. The story line is fascinating and the period costumes, automobiles, interior decoration of the buildings and use of restored train stations and buildings put the viewer into the period with the actors. The four lead actors are superb in their respective roles. Because this is a British series (shown on PBS in the US) you have to concentrate a bit on the dialogue and accents. The series was recently renewed for another season and f I look forward to the next mystery for them to solve.… Full Review »
An overcomplicated, and rather tedious followup to a fun and intriguing first season. I hated season two of this show. The acting is still good, and there are some scares here and there, but this season never manages to lift off the ground. The story is schizophrenic, and has no real vision of what it is trying to be. I know I am in the minority here, but seriously this season left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't watch season three.
