I think what ultimately won me over on this game was the challenging AI. The computer opponents can be down right cheap at times; often it will seem like they will deliberately tag-team you.

With great cartoon graphics, excellent control, challenging AI and a ton of extras to open up, this game is a worthy addition to any Dreamcast owner's library of games.
  3. It's the multiplayer mode that ultimately makes this well worth your pennies.
  4. Despite the rubber-band AI, this is still a fun, addictive kart racer.
  5. A revolutionary title, but terrible AI holds it back from being one of the best games of the year.

Decent game mechanics placed within a historically precise recreation of the beloved Looney Tunes world makes it a good, solid racer worthy of the brand Acme.

Its combination of colorful, accurate cartoon-themed graphics and tight gameplay will have you hootin' and hollerin' all winter long.
  8. With much to unlock, loveable characters that many generations have grown up with, solid control and music that is very fitting, Infogrames couldn't have done this game much better.
  9. Top-notch presentation, eye-popping graphics and phenomenal sound bytes make this the best "kiddie" title of the year!
  10. This game features superb graphics, a great soundtrack, detailed environments, and good control. And while there are a few problems with enemy AI and cheap weaponry, there is still a lot of fun to be had with this title.

I saw rendered worlds that looked almost hand-drawn in Looney Tunes cartoon fashion, with cel-rendered cartoon characters. In the end, add to that a solid and smooth framerate, and a great cartoon look. It's really like playing a Warner Bros Looney Tune.

Looney Tunes: Space Race is a real gem among Dreamcast games that shouldn't be forgotten. If you can get your hands on it, get it and play it. It's a very easy to understand kart-racer with power-ups and whatnot. Very similar to Mario Kart. Looney Tunes: Space Race requires minimum skill but thanks to the enormous library of original Looney Tunes sound effects and vocal samples it's like really chasing the Roadrunner with Wile E. Coyote. Full Review »

PS2 one is okay but the dreamcast one is an amazing racer which is maybe my favorite racer on the dreamcast but I said maybe so it doesn't mean it is.

Accept the fact that the Looney Tunes luckily made their own game in the Sega Dreamcast before they discontinued the entire console itself.Accept the fact that the Looney Tunes luckily made their own game in the Sega Dreamcast before they discontinued the entire console itself. 2000 seems to be the only year for the Dreamcast.
