  1. The focal points of the game, the fish, are simply stunning. With fluid animations; bright, clear textures; and a nice reflective sheen, they're very convincing virtual fish.
  2. A fantastic game, and a worthy sequal to last year's sleeper hit.
  3. Incredibly addictive gameplay mixed with mostly good graphics and sound make this one a big hit with everyone who plays it.
  4. Probably the best fishing console game out there right now. It's definitely the prettiest. People who even slightly enjoyed Sega Bass Fishing will LOVE this title.

Setting up the aquarium and watching the camera move slowly across the ocean floor can be both mesmerizing and relaxing; indeed an interesting feature to this title.
  6. Fishing gurus will love the idea of big catches, and video game addicts will thoroughly enjoy the strategy behind reeling in each different type of fish.
  7. Definitely the new best fishing game on the Dreamcast, thanks to it's wider variety of fish over "Bass Fishing," as well as all it's extras that give it solid replay value, another aspect missing from "Bass Fishing."
  8. 82
Definitely a fresh catch that you can enjoy without the hassles of real fishing... and potty-mouthed uncles.
  9. Challenge your friends to catch Blue Marlins! Just don't expect anything deep out of this game. That was a pun. Laugh, dammit! LAUGH!
  10. Even with an online mode for competitions by rules set on the game's site, it just isn't enough that to keep you coming back to fish some more.
  11. Those looking for a quick fishing fix without getting dirty will be more than pleased with this offering.
  12. The game's depth and challenge factors are found sorely wanting. But what's on display isn't bad, remains perfectly replayable, and outfoxes the competition by a long shot.
  13. What's missing here, though, is seasickness, the smell of the sea, the heady aromas of bait and chum, the interminable wait for a nibble or bite, and the numbing frustration of a day of fishing when no fish show up.
  14. It's a lot of fun, and the mini-games help to break up the action, but the game is still too short, and the number of locales too small.
  15. 80
Although the game doesn't have a two player mode or the same "wow" factor that "Sega Bass Fishing" did when it hit the stores, Sega Marine Fishing is a fun diversion for those times when you'd rather carry a pole than a gun or sword.
  16. One of the stunning differences between Bass Fishing and Marine Fishing is the beauty of the locations and fish.
  17. It's not only a fast paced and exciting fishing title, but also one of those rare games that non-gamers and other family members can enjoy as well.
  18. It's much better than "Sega Bass Fishing," but the same major problem still exists: What the hell are you doing inside, fishing out of a TV screen, when there are actual, live fish outside?

Catch gigantic fish using 3 gentlemen with customizable facial hair and boats, then toss them in your own personal aquarium. The music is flashy synth tunes typical of the Sega arcade games, and you get to hear you pal Masala comment on your fishing along the way. Nobody, not even Sega, ever attempted to outdo this game, sadly. Full Review »

Shallow little game with a rockin' 80's soundtrack and a dopey guy who never stops yammering in your ears - still not atypical for Shallow little game with a rockin' 80's soundtrack and a dopey guy who never stops yammering in your ears - still not atypical for a SEGA arcade game. Full Review »
