  1. 100
I guarantee you'll be amazed at how phenomenal this game looks, and you won't be able to put it down.
  2. 100
The number one reason to buy a Dreamcast.
  3. 100
Without a doubt the best looking fighting game ever, with nuances like muscle rippling, facial expressions of pain, fear, and anger, and caustic lighting effects that dazzle the eyes.
  4. The great gameplay, large variety of options, and the absolutely astounding visuals combine to make this game near perfect.
  5. "Soul Calibur's"only detectable flaw... while professed SC masters may think that they can manhandle any selectable character, the ugly truth is that some of the game's characters are completely over- and under-powered.
  6. The graphics, particularly the character models and animation, are stunning. The fighting is both strategic and intense, fun to watch and fun to play.
  7. "Soul Calibur" revolutionizes (3D Fighting) with amazing graphics, intriguing characters and an incredibly smooth 60 frame per second game engine.

The first real 3-D fighting game -- Soulcalibur is one of the most valuable titles on the DC. Pros: Beautiful graphics; great audio; variety of characters, weapons, and level designs; near-perfect controls. Cons: It's on the Dreamcast, one of the most forgotten video game consoles. Expand

This has to be one of the best fighting games of all times. At least in the top 5, easily. It was the main reason I got myself a Dreamcast, even though I was "waiting" for the PS2. Great game that you can never forget. Expand

The best fighting game on the DC and one of the best fighting games to date. Pros: It practically invented 3-D fighting movement in fighting games; stunning graphics; lovable characters; striking combos. Cons: Easy; annoying soundtrack. Expand

Although the series took a little dive in recent releases, we all know how great it made it's stay. The graphics at the time we're amazing, the gameplay is better then some games today, and this is the golden era of fighting games, along with Battle Arena Toshinden, which is an underrated rival. This fighting game is a treat: beautiful graphics, unique characters, and several modes. However, the majority of the playable characters are clones of other fighters on the roster, and SoulCalibur features some of the most impossible-to-execute combos ever made. Expand
