  1. Bomberman Land Touch! 2 is something of a glorified update, albeit to an admittedly still enjoyable game that benefits greatly from competitive online play.

Too similar to the first agame but it's a simple and engaging adventure. [May 2008, p.85]
  3. I did enjoy this game, but overall it was just a bit too shallow. It reminded me of playing any Mario Party title all by my lonesome.
  4. Bomberman Land Touch! 2 is just like its predecessors. Very enyoable. The story mode is mostly the same as the first game in the series. The combination of the classic Bomberman-mode and a online option guarantees us of hours of play.
  5. There's a good day or so's simple, colourful fun in there for those who can stomach Bomberman's sugar-coated world.

Some ten mini-games that might entertain you for a while but fail to offer something new when compared with the previous game. But, of course, it’s the Battle mode with up to eight players that will provide all of the fun. [May 2008]
  7. This game is a solid collection of mini-games with a complete Story Mode and addictive multiplayer; it’s just more of the same, however, and in need of a facelift.
  8. Bomberman Land Touch! 2 proves that deception truly is a sly creature.

If you own any of the three previous Bomberman DS titles – or indeed any Bomberman game since the first SNES Super Bomberman – then the only new experiences on offer here are found in the mini-games and story. [May 2008, p.122]

The action is solid, and there are plenty of maps and options (including Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection play), but there's little that series fans haven't seen before. [Feb 2008, p.88]
  11. If you have no other way to play Bomberman then by all means pick this up for the online modes, otherwise it is best left on the shelf.

Fairly standard snes-like action-rpg style gameplay. Think Secret of Mana, but with bombs. Leveling up provides extra bombs and explosion Fairly standard snes-like action-rpg style gameplay. Think Secret of Mana, but with bombs. Leveling up provides extra bombs and explosion radius, and ability to kick bombs, etc. Quite a few different bomb types. The more monsters you kill with a single explosion, the more bonus XP you get, so maximizing that is pretty fun. The story line is fairly weak, the gameplay is fairly good, and the minigames are rather infrequent (and not really that good). Full Review »
