If you have played the previous High School Musical games on the DS I believe that High School Musical 2: Work This Out! maybe a bit of a disappointment to you.
At one point, we actually thought we were going to cry. [July 2008, p.73]
Like its stars, High School Musical 2 is pretty to begin with, but quickly becomes annoying and repetitive.
The sad thing is that it seems like it took more work to make this game so clunky, boring, poor looking and tedious.
HSM 2 had an interesting premise going for it; the Lava Springs Resort is laid out well. Apparently all of the cartridge’s memory went towards the audio because there is no plot, there is no fun gameplay and the game is just too redundant to enjoy at all, even for the diehard HSM fans. Stay away from this game - you have been warned.
