This boring putrid garbage is more suited for mindless 6 year olds.

Planning and thinking are essential for this game. It's no Shoot-em-up... Sadly, this seems to go over the heads of a lot of reviewers who just want to play driving and football sims all day... Classic Adventure Game... And a WELL DONE one at that!

It's a fun game, but it does get repetitive sometimes. Has a bit of the feel of the Sims.

This is a beautifully done game with original thinking and concept that only nintendo could think of and is perfected by the touch screen of the DS when you can actually spear fish with your stylus. It brings you into the game, the evolution of the tools you learn to make to make survival easier is fantastic, but you are also a babysitter for the game to which is where the patience comes in. Not only do you have to fend for yourself but for some useless girl with some moments of not useless, it also gives a real "honey i'm home" feel when she is in the cave to ask how your day was. Its lame but I've never been stuck on a island before, maybe that's how you act. This game incorporates strategic thinking and planning ahead so I can see the benefit of having someone useless to make the game harder. Anyway all in all I praise the creators for taking a risk on the game and gameplay because it will make this game legendary or flop. Expand

fun, relaxing, slower paced game. you gotta think and plan. Great game for lazing around - excellent use of the DS options - definantly not for someone that only wants to play shooters and sports titles. Adventure gamers will enjoy.

It's okay that the title's pace is slow and methodical, but it lacks the hidden dangers one would expect in a strange and unknown place. [Nov 2005, p.112]

Innovative, different, and oddly compelling. [Oct 2005, p.152]

It worries me a bit that I'm starting to enjoy all this tedium.
