  1. With a decent array of modes and a charming exterior, you could do a lot worse for your money than PictoImage.
  2. The single-player mode is surprisingly entertaining, while single-DS play is perfect for car journeys. And, provided you have a dictionary on hand, it can even be pretty educational.
  3. If you're a parent thinking about picking up this game for your kid, I think you may be on the right track if you just want your kid to be creative, learn how to draw, share something with his friends, etc. However, it may not be as exciting for them as playing MegaMan, LEGO StarWars, or Animal Crossing, so you may have to give it some thought.

PictoImage is a game of simple, approachable thrills, and that bodes extremely well for pulling your significant other, siblings, or parents into its addictive grasp.
  5. As this is a party game for the youngsters there was no need to add the Single Player option. However, there has been an attempt to prolong the gamelife after Christmas is over with the Single Player, which is actually fairly challenging. With no real flaws, and a Single Player mode to make it stand out from games like Bakushow, it’s a good fun buy for a quick laugh.
  6. AceGamez
PictoImage isn't a bad game, but neither is the version that you can play with only a pen and paper.
  7. With a group of like-minded friends PictoImage is worth its weight in gold, but sadly the single player portion of the game is far less essential.
  8. It's a guess-the-drawing parlour game for all intents and purposes, though, and there's always a nagging feeling in the back of your mind that there's far better things to do on a DS than this. As long as the likes of Professor Layton or Picross exist, it's easily overlooked.
  9. Amazing fun in groups, okay in single player but by far the best multiplayer game on the DS.
  10. In all honesty I fail to see a reason for anyone buy something this. Even if you included the whole game as a mini-game in some other larger title it would still seem limited. It’s honestly a miracle that I wrote this much about a game that offers gamers so little in return.

With 6 kids and 4 DS units in the house, I always look for single-card download games to get more bang for my buck. The game allows you to add 50 words "MY LIST" of your own to the built in list of words which it picks from.

CONS: I really wish you could select it to only use the "MY LIST" words so I could use only the kids spelling words and make it more of a fun learning tool. It would be nice to also edit the master list of words. The easy multiplayer mode does not use as easy and short words as it suggests. The multiplayer mode has a time limit and it's not adjustable. When it's a two word answer, there is no way of knowing that it's a two word answer. The clocks that flash in the spot of the letters as a clue to show you how many letters the word is makes it hard to count due to the flashing. It's also misleading because a flashing clock takes the spot of the space between two words which causes you to think it's one long word. We always tell each other voice the first letter of the word and if it's a more than one word answer to make up for those short falls of the game design. Although there is no work around for that time limit. The game would be more fun if you could edit or eliminate the time limit, because the little kids are slower at drawing. Oh ya, brown needs to be added as a color to use.

I'd consider buying a 2nd version if they would correct these design flaws I've listed above. Still a very fun multiplayer game and so much better than the old paper style game.
