  1. Sim City goes all Bill and Ted's Awesome Reconstruction Adventure. Quite simply the only regional administration simulation you need to own.
  2. While it's essentially the same as it ever was, the added bells and whistles make this the best SimCity game on the DS.
  3. The most fun I've had with the SimCity franchise since SimCity 2000.

Another tip-top DS god game. [Dec 2008, p.80]

A worthy entry in the series that manages to one-up its DS predecessor.

Here is one of the most interesting approaches to the SimCity concept. The slow pace can push away players expecting for quick fun, and the lack of more save slots can be frustrating for those of like to keep their cities. [Oct 2008]
  7. Taking a page from the Civilization handbook, SimCity Creator offers an enjoyable evolutionary building experience.
  8. Despite some little glitches, the outdated graphics and the obvious catering toward a younger and more inexperienced audience, SimCity Creator is a step in the right direction for the ancient, lumbering SimCity games.

Thanks to its branching era structure, you'll be able to play this one over and over again, and perhaps one day you'll build that perfect city for the ages.
  10. Ultimately, SimCity Creator doesn’t offend and isn’t bare bones, but it’s definitely made for those new to the series than for those who were into it way before The Sims.
  11. Here is a competent strategy game, far from perfect and more demanding than it initially looks. Great for those with a lot of time in their hands.
  12. SimCity on the DS still has further to evolve.
  13. SimCity Creator carries over some trademark gameplay aspects from the original SimCity series, though SimCity veterans may find Creator a bit simplified for their tastes.

This DS version is a pretty big departure from most SimCity efforts. Switching things up isn't necessarily a bad thing, but a game with "Creator" in its title should make the player feel more like a God than a clumsy urban planner taking vague orders from a cartoon boss.
  15. Save yourself the tedium and dust off your old copy of SimCity2000 if you still have a machine that can run it.
  16. 40
SimCity Creator might be entertaining if it were the last game on earth, but even then, we might just resort to Hangman.

The only problem is that you have less freedom to do what you want in this game. There are always things going wrong and yu can only have 2 saves which means that those people who want to have serious cities and fun cities will really have to choose carefully. The map is also too small which means that it gets too hard to keep growing your city. If you like simcity like I do you will still find enjoyment for a while but its the little things that let it down. Full Review »
