Tetris Party Live is yet another solid release in the series, but you can't help but wonder why no download or local multiplayer options were included in the package, especially considering the emphasis on competitive play. Of course, if you're one of those gamers that just can't seem to get enough of the falling block madness and enjoy the idea of competing with other players online, Tetris Party Live should do the job quite nicely.
  2. Fun but the lack of local multiplayer and the inflated price are just bewildering. [Jan 2011, p.92]

Tetris Party Live stands out for something we missed: Tetris in the console's memory, always available. It has lees game modes than in the retail version, and it unjustifiably restricts local multiplayer, but it offers enough single and multiplayer action to be very worth its price, only 500 points.

If you want more modes, and a whole bunch of extras, Tetris Party Deluxe is available as a retail release, and offers a much more diverse Tetris for $30, but if you just want simply Tetris with some worthy extras, you can't go wrong for $5.
