  • Summary: Thor: The Video Game will take players through a spectacular, epic-scale original third-person adventure for which Matt Fraction, the Eisner Award-winning writer and lead Thor comic book author served as story consultant. In the game, Thor battles through the numerous worlds of Norse mythology that span realms ranging from primal worlds of fire and ice to extraordinary planets inhabited by Frost Giants and Trolls to save Asgard, the capital city of the Norse Gods. Thor must overcome monstrous foes lifted from the pages of the comics including Ulik, Ymir, and Surtur, as well as other monstrous denizens. Players will wield the iconic Mjolnir, Thor’s legendary hammer, to fight enemies on an immense scale while controlling the elemental storm powers of lightning, thunder, and wind to vanquish enemies.     WayForward's Thor is truly remarkable, as it stands not only as a great movie-based game but an extremely competent one as well.

    if you like any of wayfowards other offerings on the ds, then you will love this title. If you love side scrolling beat em ups in general, then you will love this title. ..thor has a good amount of moves and power ups to keep things fresh on all ends. .. boss battles are alot of fun and the control feels great.. the thing i love about wayfowards work, is the 2D animations!.. they really proved themselves to be talented in this field with the best game available for the dsiware, shante... a masterpiece for any platform gamer. if you can find thor for $20.00 grab it ...2 thumbs up for wayforward and sega..im a happy camper.… Expand

    Good game as a whole with some negatives. Repetitive enemies, level design and combat. Long levels become a tedious task and you end up finding yourself bored. Despite this, boss fights are entertaining, however, not as challenging as expected. Runes add a nice touch. Sound isn't amazing but suit the game. Graphics are beautifully crafted as opposed to blocky 3D graphics. The controls are amazing, but as mentioned before combat becomes dull after awhile. Ultimately, Thor is the best 2D side-scrolling action game on the Nintendo DS and is worth your time.… Expand
