    So only consider a purchase of Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2008 if you are one of two kinds of people. One, if you're a dedicated, hardcore Yu-Gi-Oh fanatic who can't get enough of digital dueling. Or two, if you're an individual who's always been interested in the design, but has never given it a shot – because the held-over tutorial still included here is still robust and fully-featured, and will help you learn the ropes.

    this game, i can never get enough of. combining and making up strategies is my favourite thing to do, and there is very much of that.

    2008 don't reach 2005 replay value slow, boring , repetitive and boring levels makes Yu-Gi-Oh 2008 fall in the hole. Online grabs my attention, it shakes a bit the features for it.… Full Review »

    The game is great. I appreciate the removal of the feature from the previous year where you had to pay to change your look. Changing hairstyles and color, clothing and duel disl are all free. (Some features DO need to be unlocked via play, however.) I personally like the new "in a row" bonus that has beb added. If you go undefeated, you will eventually get as many points as you have been undefeated at the end of each battle. I went for 90 duels undefeated, and that added a great deal of cash onto each duel. (By the way, my review is for the single player experience alone.) The campaign feature is a great addition, and it frees up a lot of duelists to fight in Championshp mode. Since I have never tag team dueled before, all I can say is that it's a new feature I look forward to exploring. Some of the challenges are a bit uneven. By "Challenges", I mean that after being in a "duel world" for a while, you will have the opportunity to open a door to another world. This means that you will be tested. Tested by a Structure Deck battle, tested by various other means. One test that drove me mad was a "monsters only" duel. There was no was possible for me to beat that challenge at the level I was at, and a great deal of cards need to become available for it to be remotrly fair. Thankfully, you don't HAVE to choose that test...there are 4 others. I like this game. A lot. More than 2007. The Duel World was a great addition to the game and kept it from being just a dualing game for friends that also play. If you like Yu-Gi-Oh! WT 2007, this one is worth it.
