  • Summary: Dr. Mario's simple yet addictive gameplay helped it to become an instant classic on the NES. Now this puzzle game lives on as part of the Classic NES Series on the Game Boy Advance. Dr. Mario challenges you to cure a virus outbreak by matching colorful pills with their viral counterparts. The viruses and capsules disappear when four of the same color are lined up. With a wireless adapter or game link cable, you can play head-to-head with a friend. Collapse

  1. It's a solid title and it'll pay for itself if you can addict your significant other to Dr. Mario's gameplay.
  2. A good addition to the Classic NES Series mostly thanks to the brilliant wireless multiplayer feature, but also because it's a timeless puzzle game.
  3. Great overall game, challenging and fun, you'll be playing for hours.

The game scores well thanks to its simple fun and its quick ability to get into two player mode.
  5. It's nice to be able to save high scores in this version. [Dec 2004, p.100]
  6. If you already own the Game Boy Advance version of "Wario Ware", you may want to pass it by since it's included in that game as Dr. Wario.
  7. In Dr. Mario, its all too obvious that Mario is practicing in Tetris territory without a license.

I was addicted to this game as a kid. I still find it more enjoyable than tetris.

The most satisfying meditation on the planet.

I can agree with all of the user reviews. This game is a good puzzle game and is well-paced but is not exactly the most exciting game on the market. I also don't find it worth the price, because of Wario Ware Expand

Not worth buying. You can get it free in " Wario Ware".
