  1. The computer AI is cheap one moment and then brain-dead the next, but the most irritating aspect by far is the overall sluggishness of the action inside the ring.
  2. Avoid this like a used King Kong Bundy jockstrap. [Mar 2003, p.92]
  3. Well, ladies and gentlemen we have a new winner, or loser as the case may be. Legends of Wrestling II is the worst game I have ever played.
  4. A train wreck of a game... Falls short in every respect.

While the boys on the screen take their fair share of lumps, ultimately it's the gamer that ends up absorbing the most punishment.
  6. Legends of Wrestling II's graphics look like they were created by a five-year-old.
  7. A major disappointment, outside having a super impressive roster of old school wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, Iron Sheik, George “the Animal” Steele, just to name a few. It falls short in every category that makes a great wrestling game fun.

Just downright awful... ugly, clunky, and a chore to play, and should be avoided at all costs.
  9. The overall play control is simple and fun, but getting hits to connect is a little rough. [Mar 2003, p.137]
  10. Acclaim had to rush the GBA version of the game in order to make the holiday rush, and let’s just say it was a disastrous decision.
  11. You could compile a flip-book with photographs of your favorite wrestlers and make a better game than this. [Aug 2003, p.35]

Truly abysmal. Lacks every element that makes a wrestling game playable. Not only are there a wide range of moves missing but even executing Truly abysmal. Lacks every element that makes a wrestling game playable. Not only are there a wide range of moves missing but even executing basic moves such as a suplex or a bodyslam is such a chore. Unbelieveably to perform a wrestlers signature move, you have to run towards your opponent and press L and R at the same time which is actually impossible. Overall the in ring action is slugish and unreponsive. The music is horrible. The graphics are probably the best asset of the game and theyre pretty poor. The wrestlers look like car crash victims. The tournament mode is dogged by repetition and has no depth whatsoever. This game has no merit. However the number of legends included in the game is decent and having a little factfile on each wresler is a nice touch. And they are the good points. Great. The developer clearly didnt think this game out. Well every format needs at least one awful game, so here you go GBA. Full Review »
