The random, unavoidable battles also get a bit tedious. [June 2002, p.85]
  2. Gameplay is addictive, but only to those who enjoy the specific genre.
  3. 70
While still basically a Pokémon clone, Robopon 2 is a far better game than the short and unsatisfying Game Boy Color original.
  4. Certainly a riveting storyline could be the salvation for those who are not enamored with the Robopon concept. Unfortunately, the one included in Robopon 2 is merely functional.
  5. 70
A strong package -- and the value of Robopon 2 jumps exponentially if your friends have an alternate copy of the game.
  6. The robot-collecting sequel is nevertheless a big step forward. [June 2002, p.154]
