Without nearly enough sight gags or over-the-top style to actually put that humor in the game, it's kind of pointless.
  2. Game Informer
The combat is basic, sloppy, and imprecise, and the spastic overhead camera often gets annoying. [Dec 2002, p.152]
  3. Cheat Code Central
This game is even worse than the show.
  4. 38
The Ripping Friends isn't half-assed. It isn't even quarter-assed. The game is one-eighth of an ass ... at best.
  5. Upon playing the game without actually watching the show, I'm not sure if the game makes the show look bad or this is just a dreadfully poor translation of a good television show.
  6. For a game that offers nothing but brawler-style combat (along with the occasional jump across a ledge), it's simply not acceptable that the fighting itself is such a boring experience.
  7. Nintendo Power
    Hit-and-miss action. [May 2002, p.140]
  8. Discordant level design, irritating controls, sub-par graphics and sound, and a general lack of the proper Ripping Friends spirit are the game's most notable features.
  9. To put it bluntly, this game is not good at all...The utter repetitiveness of hearing the same 20 second beat again and again made the sound more pain than pleasure.
  10. This game is for little Timmy, not for you.
