  1. There's really not much to this game, yet it still had me coming back for more, trying to finish the single player mode.
  2. The presentation is nice and colorful, not to mention that the puzzles are quite unique, but the game just doesn't feel as fun as the DS game did. It's not that bad of a choice if you are looking for your old school mix this holiday season, but it could use some work too.

There are many ways in which Ancient Shadow could have been better, but in the end it's still engaging. Only the patient need apply.
  4. The original Frogger arcade game is a sweet multiplayer bonus. [Nov 2005, p.118]
  5. 53
The control mechanics in the title, initially jarring and overly complicated, aren't likely to mesh well with younger players, and the die-and-retry level design can be tedious.
  6. Once again, the classic hop-and-dodge Frogger formula has been used to fashion together a somewhat passable 3D platformer, which is then ultimately soured by problematic controls, tedious level designs, and bargain-basement production values.
  7. 40
Maybe one day Frogger will get his chance to recapture his '80s video-game glory, but if Ancient Shadow is any indication, you can probably expect a new hit single from the Bee Gees first.

This is one of the best games for Game Cube. I still have the game and it's awesome for its year.
