  • Summary: When new leaders in Russia attempt to rebuild the Iron Curtain, war escalates, casualties mount, hostages are taken, and the Ghosts are sent in. Take a highly skilled Ghost team through a series of missions that range from demolitions to search-and-rescue and all-out firefights for survival. You can carry dozens of standard and special-issue weapons such as the M16A2, the M4 carbine, and the fearsome and deadly OICW. Bring a friend into the firefight in split-screen multiplayer mode. Your team--and the world--is counting on you. Expand

  1. A highly enjoyable and tensely tuned game for any fan of tactical shooters.
  2. The idiotic AI cripples the gameplay to the point of ridiculous. [May 2003, p.63]
  3. A tolerable fix for "Medal of Honor" fans, but Ghost Recon will struggle to find a place with GameCube's core demographic. [May 2003, p.87]
  4. A great game ... just not on the GameCube.
  5. The controls are decent, but FPSs just don’t seem to work the best on the standard GC controller; That C stick is just too tiny.
  6. This frustration carries over to just about every element of the game thanks to its poor artificial intelligence, graphical flaws, and repetitive mission objectives.
  7. The game's biggest problem is the programming of the AI. When you assemble your team, little do you realize what idiots they all turn out to be. It's like they're all on crack or something.

The best game of first-person shooter with strategy ever created! In this game you command a team and coordinates the map by placing each group in strategic locations, and may divide them into 3 groups: Alpha, Bravo and Charlie, to complete the various missions of the game, especially the night missions. Less-than-average port of a formerly groundbreaking game. Buy the Xbox version, but not this one if you can, because it's a buggy mess that isn't all that fun. Collapse
