Simply put, Batman: Arkham Origins is the definitive example of a console tie-in game done right, with a shining presentation, rewarding touchscreen controls and combat, a refreshing amount of variety, and a free-to-play model that accentuates the overall experience, rather than takes away from it.

Despite feeling like a grind at times - especially when it comes to waiting on a stamina refill or buying new goods - Batman: Arkham Origins will certainly put a smile on the faces of Batman fans. A fair offering to fill the gap until the console game comes out.

The mobile version of Arkham Origins delivers just enough Bat-action to keep fans happy, but falls short overall due to a restricted fighting system.

A slightly more nuanced fighter than you might expect, Batman: Arkham Origins has its wing clipped by repetitious combat and a restrictive energy system.

This Arkham Origins is a brawny, brainless offering, then, that takes one aspect of the series and remixes it for iOS in a way that should temporarily scratch that Batman itch ahead of the main event.

Ultimately, Batman: Arkham Origins is a decent brawler, but is severely lacking in variety as you beat up the same handful of thugs over and over again. If you're looking for a comic book fix, Injustice: Gods Among Us uses the same style of play with a much more robust game to back it up.

Batman: Arkham Origins is one to glide past, as this isn’t the Batman game for iOS that anyone is looking for.

Even better is that it uses the free-to-play model and doesn't force the use of microtransactions at all. This one every Batman fan should strongly consider for their mobile devices.

There's plenty of content to keep you coming back after you've beaten all the main missions. Daily challenges reward well. The difficulty also ramps up perfectly. The ability to level up various skills and attacks is there to help out. However the real way to ensure that you are ready for what's around the next corner is to invest in other costumes.

To get enough in-game currency to do that can make it a grind, but once you get the best suit you're set. Those less patient can use real money to get suits, but it can be pricey. I recommend just grinding. The combat system is fun enough to ensure that you won't be bored while doing it.

Just like the console Arkham games there's a great combat system and plenty of incentive to return. The only issue I have with it is that due to a glitch two in-game achievements didn't unlock for me. Overall though I am highly impressed with this completely free game. I give it a near-perfect score of 9.9/10.

It's also free, so I'd at least try it out. Unfortunately, you can't do too much in the game unless you spend money. Enough to satisfy me.

Just a shallow piece of entertainment that reminds me to not take mobile gaming that seriously.

The game is just about go here, punch these dudes, buy new suits, get better at combat with power ups, micro transactions. Rinse and repeat.

The combat is a joke. Tap tap tap, slide sometimes, change between attack and defense modes, use your power ups when you can.

It is not even addictive at all! Hello! You need to make an addictive game if you want us to pay money to you. Overall the game is just a 6/10 slightly above average.
