It's a fun and challenging game, though not especially deep, and it felt like we were almost nitpicking to come up with any flaws for it. It does what it sets out to do very well, and features additional modes such as Tournament and Time Attack to provide a little more variety. It might prove a little too simplistic for some gamers who don't fancy the old-school style, but for those looking to embrace a new style of arcade challenge, you can't go wrong with CandyMeleon.

Similar to Candy Crush Saga, you only have a limited number of chances to play, but the developers were generous, and the time to regenerate these "hearts" is significantly shorter. Besides, the better you are, the longer a single game will last, making the wait time almost insignificant.

If you're okay with seeing nothing new, you'll find CandyMeleon will while away a solid few hours of your time with its perfectly palatable sweetie action.

Those that enjoy their gaming in extremely small doses will find plenty to love, they just can’t expect to play for hours on end without attempts to pry into their wallet.
