Duckers is unique fun, even in the crowded endless genre on iOS. It's cute fun for all ages, and despite the clever naming and presence of Mother Duckers, it's worth playing beyond that novelty.

Ultimately, that's the stock and trade of Duckers: plenty of charm. Retro Dreamer has traded highly nostalgic visual design in for squeal-worthy adorableness, and jumped on the freemium bandwagon, but like the era to which they pay homage, some things always stay the same: great gameplay drives this studio, and this title is no exception.

Duckers remains enjoyable and stands out for being the type of experience that'll keep you glued to the screen for several minutes or upwards of an hour. We'll stop short of calling it mindless, since there's a bit of strategy involved when it comes to treasure-hunting and avoiding stuff. In all, another quality effort from the folks at Retro Dreamer.

Too simple for its own good, Duckers just isn't exciting enough to become as addictive as it wants to be.

A great diversion. Retro Dreamer has brought in a lot of its brand of charm, with cute in-joke collectables to discover and tongue-in-cheek descriptions for every little thing. It may not be the best game for those looking to dig up a serious challenge, but it's also far from mindless.
