All the quality and expertise that you'd expect from Activision has gone in Guitar Hero for the iPhone and is easily the premier rhythm game for your mobile device.

It is without a doubt one of the best mobile music games out there.

With a nice variety of starter songs, a solid interface, and a great aesthetic, not to mention extra challenges and avatar customization, Guitar Hero for the iPhone is a great little music game, and worthy of your attention.

It won't blow your mind, but it will keep you busy during your next, "I'm bored and I need to kill time!" moment.

With easier to see note icons and the new strumming mechanic, Guitar Hero is the definition of "you get what you pay for" in the music game app world.

It plays well, the strum and whammy gestures are great features, and the music catalog is solid. The reliance on DLC gives me pause, but the market will surely make that decision.

Guitar Hero is a solid music/rhythm game that comes with a good selection of songs at an affordable price.

New gameplay touches make Guitar Hero relevant on iPhone, even if the lack of multiplayer and single-player setup are less than ideal.

I'm really looking forward to seeing if Activision can fix the bugginess of this initial release and, if possible, keep a steady stream of song packs coming in the near future.

Rhythm game fans would do much better to stick with Rock Band and the Tap Tap series, as Guitar Hero is just a flashy bundle of mediocrity.

But with a miserly six songs present in the set list (versus 28 songs in the marginally more expensive Rock Band), and a pathetic selection of songs in the store, it hardly hits the ground running.
