While the allure of setting fires cools off before long, the engaging style, story, and puzzle elements make for an enticing experience.

Little Inferno is a smart and subversive work of art that pokes fun at freemium games. But its dedication to the joke often hurts the fun little physics toy at the core.

As a toy, rather than a game, there's no denying that Little Inferno's sandbox is a satisfying one that will entertain for a time. But in hammering home its message just a little too forcefully, it also lacks a certain amount of graceful bite, and as a result it doesn't quite touch the greatness it might otherwise have achieved.

Little Inferno shines softly with originality and cuteness but never moves beyond this. As a more luxurious variation of Doodle God ($ 0,99), the game falls short and is not worth the hefty price tag. With all the tapping at coins and waiting, I can’t help but wonder: could Little Inferno have turned out better as a freemium game?

    SCORE: 7.3/10

Innovative, quirky, and fun despite a very Seinfeldian "about nothing" premise. You buy toys, you burn toys, and then you buy more toys. You burn them in combos to earn extra coin. The commentary and light story along the well are very well done. The graphics are cute and fit the game well. It was a fun 3 hours and I recommend the game if you can find it on sale.

The sheer level of thought that went into this gem, further evidenced by the clever plot nuances and striking allegory, makes for an experience you won't likely forget in the near future. Plus, fire. Can't say no to that. Full Review »

This game is hardly a video game. It's art. The gameplay exists merely to compliment and bring the player into this tragically beautiful story. Play to the end. At least 60% of the budget was clearly sunk into the end. Don't look it up, don't watch a walkthrough. Play it. I still think about this game to this day, I still contemplate just what it all meant.
