There was a time when saying 'Minecraft' was synonymous with punching and dropping blocks in to a virtual world; now it has far more depth thanks to continued updates and community developed modifications, but Minecraft - Pocket Edition features none of these and simply replicates what is already available online for free.
Was a very good game back in the day! Even if it may have been missing some features that Java edition had, this version worked far better and was still very fun. I still build remakes of my old worlds on old versions of this game.
Minecraft is the best-selling game ever made and that is for a reason. Minecraft is a very enjoyable, creative block game that challenges your imagination to build and find mysterious and magnificent things. Minecraft also has tons of quests and maps to explore. Since I was a kid, I have always loved Minecraft and I will continue to love it because it is my favorite thing to do to relax.Minecraft was launched in May 2009. It wasn't super popular at the start but by word of mouth and online attention, Minecraft blew up and everyone started playing it. The main reason that everyone played it was because of the wide range of accessibility. It was able to be downloaded on PC, consoles and even mobile devices. It also had very low system requirements which allowed players to play on older or less compatible devices. Many kids who are first starting to get into gaming dont have the strongest GPU and CPU loads so minecraft was one of the only games they could play. So that's all kids could talk about and since then minecraft has sold 238,000,000 downloads and is one of the best reviewed games ever.Personally I think that minecraft is super well crafted because of how much variation is in the game. There are hundreds of blocks to build with, lots of mobs and animals to hunt and farm, tons of trees, plants, flowers and biomes to explore and collect. It holds tasks like mining, farming, finding hidden fortresses, building and entering different worlds through portals so that you can kill dragons and defeat inevitable monsters. Minercaft has grown so much since its launch and is consistently adding more items and advancements to the game. This keeps people addicted to the game because the producers (Mojang) know that people won't get bored if the game keeps evolving and changing. Who would wanna miss exciting updates that make the game even greater. The Mojang committee clearly knew what they were doing and made the most exciting and quality game ever. It has made so many memories in my life and in many others and that is why it is the best.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition could potentially be an awesome thing someday. Until that day comes, though, it is best purchased by the curious, the affluent and the hardcore fan.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition misses the mark. Without enemies, item crafting or resource gathering, the building experience will quickly bore most gamers.
This iOS version, alas, is akin to the original's early iterations. You're only offered the sandbox creation mode, in which you potter about a vast landscape, placing blocks to build stuff. Recreate your own house; make a fairytale castle; spell out 'help, I'm bored' – the choice is yours. And that's basically it.
Used to play this version of minecraft all of the time but a few years back I switched to xbox, pc, and switch and I will say after the switch between them I’m barely able to play pocket edition because of the finger controls and the lag.
Minecraft pocket edition is different in the worst way possible. It lacks so many good features and servers, it controls pretty poorly, and doesn’t even get snapshots. At the end of the day it’s still Minecraft but a way way weaker version
Pocket edition is probably the worst port of the game. Minecraft is still a masterpiece but this app has abysmal performance on older devices. The controls are hard to get used to, and if you have legacy edition good luck finding a stronghold.
Xbox live has also been implemented meaning that you will need be logged in to play with your friends. Xbox live is highly restrictive however and prevents younger children from interacting with any players.
The bedrock or java edition on pc is so much better and you can actually play with your friends locally.
This is just a bad port onto the mobile gaming community of a masterpiece ****. If you like minecraft then get a PC or a console, don't get this broken game.
