The console-quality handheld debate is likely to continue for a while, but N.O.V.A 3 is the first title I've seen that pushes the quality of a handheld release this far.

N.O.V.A. 3 delivers a substantial, console-like first-person shooter complete with full story and multiplayer modes, just like the first two N.O.V.A. games.

It may be a little short of original ideas and the controls can be fiddly, but blockbuster titles like this are what we need to take tablet and smartphone gaming to the next level.

One of the best first-person shooters on mobiles, but controls are still irksome. [Aug 2012, p.86]

  1. This is an amazing game and a great mobile alternative to Halo. The story is very well done, but if your a Halo fan looking for a mobile alternative you'll probably be spending most of your time on multiplayer. This is a great game and you should defiantly pick it up. Expand
