    Despite these weaker areas, Partia is a superb representation of the genre on iOS and likely one that will only continue to get better.

    Partia doesn't just have potential: the most essential parts of the game are well-realized. The problem is that everything else has been left unpolished to the degree that the game feels unfinished. Despite all of these flaws, I'm still playing it.

    This game was inspired to play like Fire Emblem and the Tearing Saga.     Most everything works out well and the game plays like Fire Emblem, making it quite enjoyable, but there are several flaws that hinder it from being the game it could be. If you can't stand these types of issues you should probably steer clear.

    This game is rather...choppy. Every option is slow and cumbersome due to clunky menus and a tiny screen display that make managing your items a real chore. When you finally manage to make it to battle, the tiny sprites do their little attacks, which as a result makes determining success more difficult to observe. As you gain Exp, the meter slowly crawls forward, sometimes in chunks at a time. These act to keep the mechanics from feeling fluid and makes it more challenging to become immersed in the games world.

    I've already mentioned the tiny screen, but let me emphasize the fact that the controls take up 1/3 of the screen around the middle and only the top half of the screen is devoted to the game itself. This small size makes it difficult to read the intro text. Speaking of text, the writing is sub-par. There are several awkward sentences, and nothing really conveys emotion in an effective manner as a result.

    The music is slightly better than I expected from a low budget game, but it is still quite repetitive and only enjoyable for a short while. Sound effects are pretty basic, and won't really add to the experience.

    There were a few glitches that I hit, especially when it came to moving. When my fingers couldn't get him to hit the move button and I instead hit cancel, my unit would still move there, but for some reason, he was capable of moving again. Quite odd, and it really gives me an unfair advantage. Also, there's some issues with details. Most magic tomes don't have their attack power. I've gotten OHKO'd by enemies because I couldn't tell their magic power in the early chapters, which is unacceptable. I also found that the touch response doesn't always register properly, sometimes hitting to the left of where I'm hitting the screen.

    If they are able to afford making another game, some serious time needs to be put into utilizing the screen and fixing the precision of touch mechanics to make menus better to go through. The EXP meter needs to speed up, and some more attention to detail is needed, especially among magic-users and among the games writing and story telling.

    I love Fire Emblem, and I like that they made an attempt at bringing something like it to the iOS market, and it plays reasonably well when all the flaws are considered, but they have a long way to go before they become anything great, and finding the resources to make this possible are probably not in reach.
