Puzzle Dungeons manages to balance fun, challenge, and progress quite successfully. Each of the three playable characters offers up a unique set of abilities (and by extension, strategies), and there's never any real punishment for failure.
As much as I liked Puzzle Dungeons, I can't help but wonder what it would have been like if it had been fleshed out a little more. The core is solid and can be a good time, but I think some story and the ability to share could have taken a good game and made it great.
