The jumping still feels a bit floaty and the controls are not as responsive as they should be. But you do get acclimated to how it plays and with Glowdot's track record I have no doubt that the gameplay will be refined even further. What Rogue Runner really is, though, is a labor of love from both the developer and the community, and for that reason alone it is worth having a look at.
If you are a fan of Metal Slug, and have already given up on the original for iPhone definitely get Rogue Runner.
Until more balance and gameplay tweaks smooth out the experience of playing Rogue Runner it's hard game to recommend as players get no real satisfaction from the progress they eke out.
Rogue Runner isn't a bad game because of its flaws, it just needs some kinks worked out and a layer of polish added to make it work well.
