Scurvy Scallywags is the type of game where even though you’ve probably played it before in some other form, you would really be missing out if you didn’t give it a try.

Scurvy Scallywags bleeds the charm and personality of Ron Gilbert’s classics, and is something to appreciate in a landscape of games that often find themselves without an identity.
  3. Jun 17, 2013
Featuring an innovative collapsing mechanic, great music, upgradeable skills, and tons more, Scurvy Scallywags manages to make Match-3s fun again.

Scurvy Scallywags may not be a perfect voyage, but you should expect some rough waters when you travel with sea dogs. Raise a bottle of rum to Ron Gilbert, King of the Pirates.

Scurvy Scallywags is a surprise hit with a great pedigree and even better gameplay.
  6. Jun 9, 2013
Scurvy Scallywags accomplishes exactly that, with the hallmark wit of Gilbert & Kauzlaric The game takes the match-3 genre, gives it a fresh spin and adds enough joy to keep playing over and over again.

All of this very compelling gameplay is wrapped up in some of the smartest looking - and sounding - environments we've enjoyed on our mobiles, and the story is a hoot. Throw in the trademark Gilbert humor, and you've got a mix that will prove irresistible for any fan of match-three gaming.

Very fun, well done game. Lots of different maps and new items pop up and the story parts inbetween have a certain Monkey Island-ness to them.
Also different from other Match-3's in that you need to guide your pirate around the board which can really affect what direction you want to move the pieces.
    Good times!
