Easily one of the better mobile games in recent memory, Shadowblade is a shining beacon and a stinging lesson to other developers. This is the bar. Now you try and raise it.

Shadow Blade is a stylish trial platformer that's hard to put down thanks in large part to its intuitive touchscreen controls.

Shadow Blade is a competent and accessible platforming experience that offers a little bit for everyone. The ninja theme is used well, with gorgeous visuals and a solid soundtrack, but skilled gamers will want to battle through to the later stages. [Issue 1, February 2014]

A 2D side-scroller platformer granted with a great control scheme, fine graphics and fast-paced action.

Shadow Blade is a fun and fast-paced game, with ninjas in it. It has a good control scheme too, but its lack of personality and longevity prevent it to become something memorable.

There’s little to complain about with Shadow Blade. It’s a great action platformer with smooth controls and plenty of that Ninja goodness.

Shadow Blade could be the start of a great franchise on mobile, thanks to great controls and exciting action. Let's hope we see the student become the master again soon.

Creating platformers for touch based devices can be very difficult. However Shadow Blade is one of the best controlling games one could play on an iOS device.

Even if it's undoubtedly a good action game, it's hard to literally fall in love with Shadow Blade, considering how short and unoriginal it actually is.

Equal parts Mirror’s Edge, League of Evil, and NinJump, Shadow Blade is solid, slicey fun for its duration — but that isn’t terribly lengthy.
