With a core mechanic as simple as climbing over the fallen bodies of your past incarnations, Sometimes is fun, unique, and memorable.
Philipp Stollenmayer has something he’d like to discuss with you and thankfully, he has done so in the form of an easily accessible video game. While it could have done more with its gameplay, it remains an intelligent, creative puzzle platformer well worth a try. [Episode 4, April 2014]
What it lacks in physical dimension it more than makes up for in philosophical depth. A dark prince among puzzle games.
Sometimes You Die has you pondering more than just its platform puzzles. Its appeal will depend on whether you like platformers with underling themes of existential crisis.
Sometimes You Die doesn't last long, but it'll keep the player intrigued and guessing until the end.
