It’s beautiful, full of surprising depth, and never loses scope of maintaining a sense of playful fun.
Craft a world and save some innocent people in this varied and highly enjoyable freemium world building game.
Combining Minecraft-esque gameplay with a freemium city builder works surprisingly well. When you add fun mini-quests, puzzles and lots of social features the hours seems to fly, and the timers seem like less of an annoyance than usual.
Supernauts is free-to-play world-builder that pulls off the impressive feat of always giving you a reason to keep playing, even if you choose not to invest in its IAPs.
A very busy game with so much going on that some might be overwhelmed. Others are likely to become hopeless addicts.
So while I'm not a fan of this particular mixture, perhaps there's a way to make a town-building game that incorporates creative sandbox elements. But Supernauts just doesn't have the right formula.
Supernauts is both too limited to succeed as a town-builder and frustratingly restrictive as a creative tool, while its superhero interludes are disempowering and dull. [Sept 2014, p.116]
