A quintessential Korean action RPG. It has a lot of grinding, mixed with a decent storyline, and great sprite-based graphics.

Just as strong as its predecessors and a great starting point for anyone interested in the KRPG phenomenon, though after two years it'd be great to see more gameplay evolution instead of more fetch quests.

Zenonia 3: The Midgard Story is a must buy if you like the genre, mainly because of the incredible amount of quests, maps and objects featured. The interface works well and the graphics are very nice. The only flaws of this game are the repetitive nature of the quests and the verbose dialogues.

Zenonia 3 is full of traditional action RPG fun, but we wish Gamevil would do more to push the genre forward.

The game has plenty of content, but the lack of originality and tedious questing experience leaves much to be desired.

Compared to its prequels, Zenonia 3 doesn't exactly feel like a step forward. Instead, it feels like the same gameplay dressed in a new story. That's not a bad thing, but it means that things don't feel nearly as innovative and fun as they once did.

A curious contradiction. With overly fast gameplay laced with story sections that feel too slow by comparison, and simple controls fused with menus that are often incomprehensible, this is a game that sometimes suffers from its dedication to the extremes.

Fast and frenetic role-playing that fixes some of its predecessor's largest flaws, despite the continued reliance on rote fetch quests and cheesy writing.

Zenonia 3 doesn't do anything to bring the genre forward, and is actually bogged down in places by its archaic feel and less-than-ideal controls. But something tells me that's just how fans of the game would want it.

It is ABSURD that a game costing $4.99 should be so bogged down by in-app purchase, and all but require you to spend yet more of your money on expendible items.

I was hoping that maybe Zenonia 3 would be a third-times-the-charm experience, which, in the most part, it is. It still maintains the fourth-wall humor and flashy graphics, but it's plagued by an action which haunts many RPGs today: level-grinding. Full Review »
