Toucharcade, Windburn DESCRIPTION ZombieSmash! is a “Survival Comedy” game, featuring undead-themed castle defense and entertaining, physics-based gameplay. The game casts players as Joey, a lone survivor pit against a herd of writhing, unrelenting zombies - to defeat the undead masses, players must use their fingers to flick and smash them until they're un-undead. •To aid players in their fight, over 20 specials and upgrades allow for creative zombie demolition - including fun implements like asteroids, wrecking balls, liquid nitrogen and a gigantic, rolling boulder – combine specials (for instance, smash nitrogen-frozen zombies with a boulder!) for added hilarity. •Sophisticated ragdoll physics produce unique and hysterical zombie deaths, and the proprietary SplatterEngine™ renders adorable cartoon blood and gore in a convincing and entertaining fashion. •Three game modes provide limitless replay value: oCampaign Mode challenges players to survive for 31 intense days against the mounting zombie threat. oEndless Siege Mode confronts them with a never-ending zombie assault - hold out as long as possible, racking up an ever-rising body count. oSandbox Mode gives you all the tools to rain destruction down on those stinking, moaning zombies without any of the peril. •Social features including Chillingo’s Crystal and Playhaven for online and community support, and the ability to share screenshots of your best ZombieSmashing moments! •Original soundtrack produced by famed game music composer Chris Hülsbeck, the talented musician behind the scores to classic games like Turrican, Giana Sisters and the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series. 1. Feb 10, 2011
ZombieSmash really does stand head and shoulders above its competition.
  2. Feb 10, 2011
The crisp 2D art in Zombie Smash gives it a high-grade feel, but the music (composed by Chris Hülsbeck, who did the scores for the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series) is the real highlight of the show.
  3. Feb 10, 2011
At $0.99 ZombieSmash offers a lot of fun for your money. With funny animations, sounds and weapons the game excels in sheer bloodsoaked mayhem.
  4. Feb 10, 2011
While trying to avoid the "Z is what you get when you mix X and Y", ZombieSmash! brings zombie slaying to a new creative level making this well worth trying.
  5. Feb 10, 2011
A well-rounded castle defence riff that livens up the formula with undead physics fun.
  6. Feb 10, 2011
ZombieSmash isn't just loaded with fun, there are quite a few chuckles in here, too.
  7. Feb 10, 2011
The final outrage: The developers have the nerve to encourage gamers to use both thumbs to perform those dual swipes. Hold your thumbs in front of you, pretend you're swiping upward over and over again, and you'll have a sense of how well this actually works.
