  • Summary: Pilot one of four toy helicopters through the treacherous terrain of your backyard, the local playground, picnic areas and nearby beaches. Engage in both air-to-air and air-to-ground combat with enemies ranging from battleships to butterflies. Utilize the unique abilities of each 'copter to battle armies of mutant insects; destroy rampaging remote control cars; blow up sand castles; and save Sarge from being melted by kids with magnifying glasses. 1. A great action game and is well suited for those seeking mindless, explosive entertainment. Just don't expect anything more than that.
  2. "Air Combat" isn't going to win any awards, but you'll be too busy busting caps at the tan army to even care.
  3. With its engaging mix of humor, excellent graphics, and superior multiplayer mode, this is one "Army Men" game that's worth checking out.
  4. The graphics leave a little, well actually quite a lot to be desired, but with the addictive and entertaining gameplay and quality sound, you'll probably let that slide.

An extremely decent game. It more or less succeeds in what it sets out to do, but this game wasn't designed to change the face of videogaming or anything like that.
  6. With the addition of four-player multiplayer, "Army Men: Air Combat" is the best game to bear the "Army Men" name - granted, that isn't exactly a tough feat.
  7. While severely problematic areas are easily discerned, the game's major failing is an all-over blah factor, a mediocrity of inspiration recognizable both in the underachieving technical facets of the title and the limiting non-gravitas of the overarching license.
