  • Summary: Amazons & Aliens has no lasting appeal if you're experienced with other empire-building real-time strategy games.
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 1 out of 8
  2. Negative: 4 out of 8
  1. It is not overly challenging in terms of resource management, but the strangeness of this world’s inhabitants and their civilizations make this a nice little program.
  2. It's more amusing than "1602 A.D." because of the differences in each race but gameplay is strikingly similar.
  3. But the FPS of the characters rendered their movements choppy and the general artistic schemes – the pudgy blue Pimmons and boringly animated Amazons – were less funny than they were just not to be taken seriously.
  4. 43
Ham-handed implementation and lackluster production values obscure what few clever devices are buried within.

    Best game ever!!
Note: there is actually 3 players!!!!
    Tips for beginners:

1 Never change all your transporters into other men. (this cau
ses pure havvock, I mean you cant even transort material needed to build structures.)

2 Do the tuteral before anything else! (it teaches you how to play!!!!!)

3 When playing other nations, get a warrior as soon as possible. (such as hunters, archers, pyros ect.)

4 Always make new cities in an area near stone, lumber, and bushes. (so your city can do well)

5 Make at least one extra city. (in case your main one falls!)

6 Try to make peace with one race and take the ther one down. (trust me it makes it easier)

I enjoyed the vivid graphics and off-beat presentation. Sometimes the game can be confusing in its micromanagement (the biggest challenge of the game is paying attention to all the details) and the tutorials could've been more interactive. Nonetheless, it's worth finding (at the right price). Expand
