  1. What’s not to like? A MMOG with fantastic production values, monthly episodic content, that’s playable over a 56k connection, you bet people will like it!
  2. An addictive game that has a good spawn rate, wonderful graphical elements and solid sound.

What awaits everyone in Dereth is a world rich with lore, quests and beauty.
  4. With a beautiful game engine and elaborate quest system, the game doesn't disappoint.
  5. A far simpler game than many veteran fans were hoping for. [Feb 2003, p.62]
  6. For the gamers who want a combat-heavy fantasy world to lose themselves in without the frustrations of the first generation of MMORPGs, Dereth is where you'll want to head.
  7. A technically excellent, but ultimately shallow and mechanical, experience. [Mar 2003, p.77]

I've tried Everquest and Camelot.. and while both offered some time wasting enjoyment.. i've never been hooked online by a game as i have with Asherons Call 2, its almost sad really....Theres quite a bit to do and its very accessible making it easy to jump into. It does have its problems, but the monthly updates will most likely smooth most of them out. As far as the nuance of having to pay to play this is honestly the first time i've played a game online, with plans to keep playing after the free month runs out. Its just really fun. Expand
