  1. What’s not to like? A MMOG with fantastic production values, monthly episodic content, that’s playable over a 56k connection, you bet people will like it!
  2. An addictive game that has a good spawn rate, wonderful graphical elements and solid sound.

What awaits everyone in Dereth is a world rich with lore, quests and beauty.
  4. A highly streamlined, highly accessible online RPG. Yet the world of Dereth seems bare.
  5. A far simpler game than many veteran fans were hoping for. [Feb 2003, p.62]
  6. If Turbine can keep the quality content coming, AC2 deserves your hard drive, you Internet bandwith, and your $12.95 a month. [Feb 2003, p.71]
  7. A technically excellent, but ultimately shallow and mechanical, experience. [Mar 2003, p.77]

It does have its problems, but the monthly updates will most likely smooth most of them out. As far as the nuance of having to pay to play this is honestly the first time i've played a game online, with plans to keep playing after the free month runs out. Its just really fun. Expand
