Bad Mojo (Redux) Image
  • Summary: Bad Mojo has evolved into an unqualified cult classic, lauded by critics and fans alike. A testament to its originality, the game is still being reviewed by the gaming press. In this truly unique tale, "mad scientist" entomologist Roger Samms has been temporarily turned into a cockroach, leading to gritty discovery and exploration that sucks you in with great visuals, and keeps you playing with a poignant story. Clever obstacles bar your progress in the dark and intricate world of a dilapidated San Francisco building. [Got Game] Expand

  1. For those who've never played the original, Bad Mojo Redux is a must-have. Load it up and see what all the shouting was about. For those who've played the Win3.1 version, Bad Mojo Redux is what the game should have looked like and, when coupled with the companion DVD, is the deal of the year.
  2. It's just that, while I liked Bad Mojo well enough, I didn't care that much about it, and so the bonus DVD didn't do all that much for me.
  3. Truly repellent content. [Sept 2007, p.75]

I can't believe this classic is back. Loved it the first time and it still holds up. The DVD extras include a "making of" documentary with crazy stories about the creators cockroach farm. Good buy for $20. Expand

It's clever, but the puzzles are too easily solved (and solutions are telegraphed), and the game ends too quickly. Disappointing on both counts. It often looks nice, however, and has a quirky sense of humour. Bad acting is made good by its extreme hamminess. Expand

This game is really bad actually, the exploration is boring, puzzles are so-so challenging and I'm more concerned about dead rats in a video game. Also it's really short, hardly worth buying again. Expand
