By all rights and intentions, BeachHead 2000 should have been a flaming piece of crap. I'm flabbergasted...Scientists are at a loss to explain why this title is so damned addictive.
-
70Offers plenty of mindless fun that gives your brain the chance to go on cruise control.
-
70A stress buster with mindless fun.
-
65A mindless little distraction that requires reflexes, not brains.
-
60This game is strangely addicting just like "Missile Command" used to be.
-
60Unless you happen to be stuck in a beach house on a rainy day and this is the only game disc around, I would have to say, skip it.
-
Oddly enjoyable for a few hours, but the fun runs out quicker than your AA guns' ammo.
-
50Too bad repetitive action, mediocre graphics, and a limited krauts-eye-view perspective make slaying Private Ryan and company as predictable as an episode of "Hogans Heroes."
-
Uninspired.
-
Ultimately, the game wears thinand quickly. The first dozen levels are pretty manageable but then it becomes an exercise in frustration.
-
39"BeachHead 2000"'s limited gameplay won't hold your attention for long.
-
In modern times, however, when even simple retro-games like "Frogger" get massive face lifts and hordes of options, there is little room for a game that prides itself on pure simplicity and repetitive action.
-
D-Day is putting it lightly.
-
If you haven't figured it out by now, we'll spell it out for you: Even at $20, this game is not worth your cash.
