  1. The controls require some getting used to, but the game's biggest problem comes from the fact that it only has LAN multiplayer, and lacks any kind of online player match-up capabilities.
  2. CellFactor is best thought of as an intriguing tech demo. It is interesting to watch your screen become cluttered with dozens of boxes, pipes, and miscellaneous junk, and know that your PhysX card is making the spectacle possible, but is it fun to play? Let's just say that you will love it … if your video game collection consists solely of free games.

Go ahead and download it just for fun, but don't expect any kind of lasting entertainment, and don't bother with the PhysX upgrade specifically for Cell Factor.
  4. It's distractingly unrealistic rather than joyously cartoonish. [July 2007, p.89]
  5. The finished game doesn't live up to expectations. [Sept 2007, p.64]
  6. Basically it's not a game, it's still just a tech demo, and a pretty unsuccessful one at that. [July 2007, p.64]

It's a pretty hardware intensive game, and the physics are often unbelievable (not in a good way). Overall there are 5 levels (3 of which you'll need to tweak with the config files to access), and maybe 1.5-2hrs of gameplay. Probably not worth the 850mb d/l. Full Review »

Los requerimientos de hardware son demasiado altos para la mayoría de posibles usuarios y su historia es poco llamativa (tiene historia?). Sigan trabajando, que esto sirva de experiencia, consigan guionistas. Full Review »

Hopefully Warmonger and UT2007 will make better use of the PhysX. Full Review »
