  • Summary: The secret of the Tree of Life. For centuries people were ready to commit worst crimes and risk their lives to discover it. Times have changed, but not human nature. As Sylvie Leroux - a young archaeologist and adventurer - is working to solve the mystery that surrounds the legend, she finds herself tempted by the same promises that so many before her fell for. What is linking the unresolved riddle of missing crew from Mary Celeste with a trunk dating back to the conquistadors? Who is the enigmatic Count of St. Germain? In order to get answers to these and many more questions, Sylvie will set on an epic journey which will lead her across the channels of Venice to the dark alleys of Cairo, rocky coasts of Gibraltar and further, into the unknown. 1. It's unlikely to win any awards, but it is fun and satisfying to play.
  2. Chronicles of Mystery: Tree of Life is one of City Interactive's better efforts to date. For adventure fans, Sylvie's continuing escapades are certainly worth checking out.
  3. Neat adventure game won’t get you on your knees but will let you spend a couple of enjoyable hours – and maybe inspire where you spend your next holiday. [Feb 2010]
  4. The game’s many shortcomings make this a game that only the hardest hardcore adventure fans will even be able to get into, and the unimpressive puzzles and lackluster storyline might even turn them away.
  5. The Tree of Life is a game that may appeal to hardcore adventure gamers, but be prepared to overlook a lot of very fundamental faults.
  6. As a whole, Chronicles of Mystery: The Tree of Life is an average game that could keep adventure gamers busy until they finish and forget it.
