Chronology is a product worthy of being purchased by all fans of puzzle games. It's original, it's cool, it's innovative in its own way, despite some ideas have been partially taken from other products of the same genre.
I really liked this game and what it had to offer. The reviews all say that this is a very short game, but I'd rather want a good short game than a long bad game. I loved the art style, the music and the puzzles, and I didn't encounter any problems with the game at all. Overall a very polished game and a good experience!
One of the best indie puzzles out there. There is something special about Chronology, it is not the challenge and puzzles of the game (Although they are good) But the whole experience is something special in the best possible way. The art style is brilliant and combined with the music score it brings the game into a level of relaxed enjoyment i haven´t had for years. A must buy for any Platform/Puzzle and Indiegame lover!
Aside from the short length, there isn’t much that Chronology does wrong. The platforming is competent and it controls pretty solidly; the puzzling is well thought-out and intuitive, and the gameplay interesting and varied. But none of the elements truly excel either, leaving you with the feeling that, whilst enjoyable, this is a game that could have been great were a few more risks taken.
Chronology is a pleasant platformer with emphasis on puzzle solving.
Unfortunately, the puzzles are too simple to entertain. The charming
graphics and the music are very generic and does not impress at all.
All of this combined makes it difficult to remember that it indeed is
a competent game.
It's really captivating and I especially enjoyed the mood, the artstyle and the sounds! Rather short puzzle game but at a very low price on Steam, you certainly get enough value for your money.

Is a game content based on time manipulation and switching two environments interesting enough to make a good puzzle platformer that could be enjoyed by both children and their parents? Let’s start with the pluses - good story that is developed further, original game concept, two charismatic main heroes with time based special abilities, sense of humor, well designed puzzles, difficulty suitable for casual players, beautiful game graphics, good music and great voice acting. The game is not flawless of course, so here are the minuses - quite a short length, snail’s ability to stop time is not sufficiently used, sometimes clunky controls and low number of music tracks. The game with two main heroes would deserve some form of a local multiplayer so, it’s a pity that it is not present here.
Pros:
- story
- original concept
- two charismatic heroes
- sense of humor
- puzzle design
- difficulty for casual players
- graphics
- music
- voice acting
Cons:
- short length
- snail's ability is not sufficiently used
- clunky controls sometimes
- only a few music tracks
- no local multiplayer
The game’s target group are mainly children or casual players due to the game's relaxing fairy tale-like atmosphere, short levels and easy difficulty. I could imagine that the local co-op and the game design that would be using the characters' cooperation more often would make the game great for family playing. Like this it is still a very good puzzle platformer that most casual players will have fun with and thus I am giving Chronology Thumbs Up and Video Gaming Father’s Index 8- out of 10 - recommended!
Relatively short, but not very (about two and a half hours, it will not have time to get bored with simplicity, but it won’t end too quickly, like many other games of this kind) a platform game with relatively simple puzzles (only three times it wasn’t quite clear what to do in a particular place). A relatively good picture (though the inserts between the levels in this regard are deplorable), a relatively interesting simple story with "time shift". But the execution of these time shifts, including the assistant, was done well and interestingly. In general, for its price, and even more, so if there will be a discount, it deserves its attention. I put 8/10 in general, and I would give it 9/10 for a kind of "quite a successful project on some indie contest."
Beautiful atmospheric and fun Chronology is not far away from being a really quite excellent game. Unfortunately, the story isn't strong enough to carry it and it ends just as the puzzles are hitting their stride. So well worth a look but maybe wait for it to pop up on the Steam sale.
A pretty good game, good music, good graphics, good story. Giving it 7/10 because it's just too much like Braid, Limbo and many other similar indie puzzle platformers. The time traveling mechanics is pretty basic (there are just 2 words, the past and the future), and the game is pretty short. But it's well worth its modest price.
