  1. Sure, the emphasis on tactics and cover etc make it slower than today's bells-and-whistles RTSs, but the time you get to think makes it one of the cleverest. Some games just don't seem to get tired with age. Chess and Close Combat are among them. [June 2007, p.79]

    Would be a 10, but for the very frustrating router issues that have naused up the mm online options. Many CC veterans have given up due to this ongoing major issue. Internal IP addresses clashing with different external IP addresses are the major sticking point. This game was clearly ill-thought out in this respect. Modern day online gamers expect a more useable product and interface. Expand

    Getting multiplayer to work is the most difficult & frustrating experience your ever likely to have to endure on a PC. A very very poor show indeed.
