  • Summary: The title celebrates the 10th anniversary of this franchise and includes a dozen C&C games spanning over the last ten years plus a bonus DVD, which includes commemorative video features. With its explosive style of warfare, the C&C franchise has grown over the years to span multiple fictional genres, including the science fiction Tiberium universe, the revisionist history of the Red Alert universe, and a twist on modern warfare with Command & Conquer Generals. The bonus DVD features a half-dozen exclusive video features including an interview with Louis Castle, who is also co-founder of Westwood Studios, the creator of the C&C franchise. As a special bonus, C&C fans will have the opportunity to be featured on the exclusive DVD. [Electronic Arts] Collapse

  1. All the storylines were so creatively done it’s a wonder that Westwood or EA has not jumped on the bandwagon and gone Hollywood.
  2. C&C: The First Decade will have all C&C aficionados waxing nostalgic for the good old days of GDI versus Nod, Kane and Yuri, and of course, Tanya, the sexiest female gaming character next to Lady Croft.
  3. It shows its age, and some titles are better then others, but all the cinemas are intact and some games never get boring.
  4. Hopefully any future release will benefit from vigorous testing before release, a privilege that hasn't seemed to have been granted to this collection.

This is the franchise which revolutionised RTS gaming as we know it. every game, for it's time, had top spec graphics, with outstanding game play, The game has only developed as it's gotten older, more complex, more strategic, and more intense. I just wish Westwood had stayed with EA for longer, as I felt the games lacked that intense fast pace play, that was experienced in Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. That said, the game are still 10/10. Expand

Best RtS out. Cant what for the new one.
  3. Incredibly cheap and features numerous games, all of which offer countless hours of gameplay, The First Decade is a steal imo. The only flaw to this is that there are a ton of bugs and glitches, It ruins the game a bit but the patches fix about 70-75% of the problems. Still a solid game well worth getting imo. Expand

The first games up to Red Alert were excellent, unfortunatelly, Westwood/EA concentrated on graphics rather than gameplay. The latest C&C Generals was a BIG disappointed. And now EA is cashing in on what it missed before itr aquired Westwood. I certainly not buy this one... Expand
