This is so much fun you could ever have with a physics game. its cheap, it has a pretty nice storyline too. plus! you can draw on the map :D You should seriously consider buying this.
The level of fun Crayon Physics Deluxe can offer us is in direct proportion with the player interest in experimenting with each of the stages of the game.
Could allowing complete freedom to draw support sharply designed puzzles? Mid-way through the completed game’s 80-plus levels, you’ll still be wondering. [Mar 2009, p.94]
More vagary than the real game – that’s Crayon Physics. You will be surprised by the unusual graphics and amount of fresh ideas at first, but the initial fascination soon vanishes to boredom. [Issue#174, Jan 2009]
Crayon Physics Deluxe would've been quite the revolutionary game more than a decade ago and it still holds up now as a fun, family-friendly, physics-based puzzle game where you're able to draw the objects that you use to solve each level. However, if you're either a novice at puzzle games or you're thinking of introducing the game to your kids, you may want to reconsider, since the game becomes difficult within a relatively short period of time and since the content is gated, it means you're locked out of trying any more puzzles… unless you download some fan-made creations, of course!
Feels like a $4.99 cheapo game, but it's $19.99 three years after release. Gameplay is extremely boring, levels get quite difficult in a hurry. Challenge system to beating the levels was implemented after the game was released so they hardly work together. Overall the game is a huge mess and i would not recommend picking it up or any other game made by this developer.
Pathetic excuse for a game, no thought at all has gone into the game before creating it and it shows, as the idea is inherently flawed. The game asks you to be fair and to not use the easy cheap way to pass the level on purpose, and to rate your own level to decide if you think your idea to pass it was good enough, gaining yourself a star. What? I pass the level any way I can, the easiest way, because it's natural, normal, and intelligent. I don't appreciate a game forcing me to play mind games on myself. Similarly i could not mind game myself into enjoying this. The concept itself is ridiculously simple, and boring, I've seen better puzzle flash games. The fact that this isn't freeware shows the greed of the indie **** who made this.
SummaryCrayon Physics Deluxe is a 2D physics puzzle game, in which you get to experience what it would be like if your drawings would be magically transformed into real physical objects. Solve puzzles with your artistic vision and creative use of physics. [Kloonigames]
